From studying for 12 hours a day
to staring at the ceiling for 24;

insomnia stands around the corner
with worry
and regret,
and some more worry
about what I need to be studying.

I feel like I'm wasting time sitting in front of the TV
catching up on my favourite shows,
and curse my self for feeling distracted when
I'm reading a book that's not in syllabus.

I woke up vomiting worrying words of how I've woken up too late,
feeling weak under the pressure that didn't exist anymore,
and I fainted with dizzying spells of psychological theories with the same symptoms attached.

The withdrawal symptoms of board exams hurt the back of my throat with a constant nagging voice in my head, telling me to study.
