Life stories #13 Pragmatically Romantic

They were being stupid, she knew. He being the hopeless romantic that he was, trying to convince her, with all the power he had, that they were meant to be, and that there existed a "forever" and she, surprisingly defying her pragmatic ways and falling for the unrealistic dream.

"We'll be together forever and ever!" he said, suddenly rising from the sofa and with an expression of bewilderment on his face, eyes shining brightly, spread his arms wide, trying to define "forever" with this tiny hands. She had always laughed at his tiny hands, mocked him for them.

She asks, with a tone of apprehension, "How long is forever, huh?" She didn't look right at him, though she could tell he was looking at her. She expected him to understand the question, him knowing how thoroughly practical and allergic to romance she was.

"What's with the tone? You sound as though you already want to get rid of me, babe." He rolled back onto the sofa and sitting up, slumped his elbows on his knees and placed his chin on his palms. His pyjamas were slipping, and he was desperately trying to keep them in place.

"No no, you know what I mean." she sighs, smiling weakly.

Getting down on his knees he looks at her face and  smiles the most dramatic smile, "I want to breathe the same air you breathe, with your large hands in my tiny ones. Actually, your hands are normal, mine are just sma-"

"What if I go to Africa to do humanitarian work. Then what?" She says it just to get a reaction, half smiling, half smirking.

"Then I'll follow you there, stupid. I'll use my engineering degree and work some magic for them!" Getting super excited, he goes on, "Oooh oooh I can get them ground water and you can help them with other things. It's perfect!" he claims, jumping up.

She gives him a look that indicates he's mad, but looking at his expression, she bursts out laughing. Out of breathe, "You're an idiot"

Grinning, he shouts "But I'm your idiot!"

"We are, What we say" and more.

I haven't posted a drawing/doodle for a very long time, and thought I'd just share what I'm currently working on.
If you're not interested in illustrations, please go through this, this, or this.

Inside out
The objects that are meant to be kept outside (butterfly, leaves) are drawn in blue ink and coloured, whereas the
objects that remain inside are black and white.

Maybe an euphoric theme.

We are, what we say.

TTIH #2 Thirdwheel feels

I went, hopeful of seeing him;
spending time with him.

Ended up third-wheeling big time;
spending time with "them",
during their quality time.

 the soul who screams "why you do this to me" all the time.
