Hey Friend! Part 4 - Never Leave.

This is not the best poem I've written, but I just felt like posting it... If you feeling like reading something great of mine though, click here and if you feel like viewing some of my photography, click here.

I'll miss your timid hugs,
the "hello acquaintance" hugs,
unlike the bone crushing ones my mom gives,
and the gentle baby-bird types my father gives,
and very unlike the WWE ones my brother gives,

and so I'll miss your timid hugs.

I'll miss your "hey's",
your lazy head nods,
unlike my friend's crazy waves
and my formal handshakes
and very respectful "namaste".

and so I'll miss your "hey's".

And so I hope you,
never leave.

Our Love

This was what I wrote for a competition where I was given a prompt to write on, and it was a mini statue of a man and a woman in wedding clothes holding hands. I didn't win, but it was fun:

Dancing the night away, we'll sing and scream.
We'll run long distances, live the dream.
We're getting married tonight, the adventure starts soon,
You have no idea - we want the moon!

We're in love, so hopefully it won't end in tatters,
We're in love, isn't that what matters?

Boy:
She holds my right hand, and I hold her left.
With a bouquet of flowers, she stands perplexed.
My left arm around her, she looks at me intently,
Her dress is flowing, with the breeze quietly.

Girl:
I hold his right, and he holds my left hand.
I feel on my skin, the cold wedding band.
His left arm around me, I put on a brave face,
My dress is flowing behind me, causing such disgrace.

We love each other
and thats what matters.
We don't care about what people say,
even if our wedding ends in tatters.

It's been too long!

We spoke everyday,
but now you're not here,
We don't talk anymore,
it's like you've disappeared.

Came to school everyday,
and hugged me really tight,
Didn't very rarely,
when we'd had a huge fight.

I don't even know where you are,
where your family is,
Just want to talk again,
and feel that bliss.

I trusted you with everything,
every secret too,
You're like my safe,
which I've lost the key to.

We spoke everyday,
but now you're not here,
We don't talk anymore,
it's like you've disappeared.

Reason.

Do things truly happen for a reason?
Or is it just a matter of fate?
Robbery and treason
On a particular foreseen date?

I ask you again-
Do things truly happen for a reason?

Or is it a matter of debate.
A topic many argued upon,
But to no gate.

To no gate which may answer,
That may answer our many questions.
To no door that may open,
And may solve our many mysteries.

So I ask again-
Do things truly happen for a reason?
Or is just a scheme,
A scheme to convince ourselves
And one to help us live in peace?

Aspirations.

His dream was to become a singer,
but at the moment he's stuck at a bank.
And hers was to be a pilot,
and soar quickly through the ranks.

Her dream was to help people,
wanted to do medical,
but her in-laws soon told her to stop working,
said, "Please be a bit radical."

His dream was to cycle,
race along the highest peaks,
but right now he is at a ruin-of an ancestral home,
fixing some major leaks.

So basically he became a banker,
and she didn't become a pilot.
She resigned to the post of a housewife,
and he became a plumber.

Don't let the greed for money stand in your way,
nor the hungry-for-kids in-laws,
go and set the world right,
go break down the walls.
