SO MANY OPINIONS, TOO MANY OPINIONS.

She doesn't like you,
and neither does he.
Neither does Molly,
nor the other three.

He likes you though,
and so does Boo.
So does Caty,
and the other two.

She's okay with you though,
and so is Bruce.
So is Andy,
and the other four.

Everyone's different,
Everyone's unique.
Everyone's got opinions;
Everyone's got critique.

So don't take it to heart,
it really doesn't matter.
And in a day or two,
it'll all be forgotten; the chatter.

Carnation.

 Bring me a carnation
and tell me this,
"You're an incarnation
of the one above
and if not,
then definitely an angel
 fallen
sent with a dove."

Help me feel pretty,
help me feel nice.
Just that one carnation,
will more than suffice.

So please get me a carnation
a white would do well,
and stand in front of me
and send me to hell.

For according to you
I'm an angel fallen,
from a land that's swell
but that's not true -

I come from a cell,
from the land above,
I was a prisoner,
and so was the dove.

So tell me,
and tell me the truth
do you still want to give me that carnation
or is it a point of moot?

You don't want to be here?

You tell me you
 don't want to be here,
amidst all these people
because of your irrational fear.

(Fear of people is called Anthrophobia)

Fear of the many queer
who chill with them deers,
and many those
who call themselves "seers".

But when you go onto the swing,
you get over that stuff
then jump down fast,
out of breath, in a huff.

Lazy Days in Many Ways.

You say you don't want to play,
All you want to is lay.

Lay in the sun,
with your hair in a bun,
on the soft green grass.

You want it to rain,
rain like the clouds are crying.

Crying,
as to mourns one death,

the one who died on her bed.

And you say you don't like it,
the sun in your eyes,
blinding your sight.

Prohibiting you,
from seeing me,

Lying on the soft green grass,
beside you.

SOME UPDATES

  1. I STARTED A COMMUNITY ON GOOGLE+. IT'S CALLED "IGLOO ON THE BEACH" AND THE LINK IS IN MY PROFILE IN THE "OTHER LINKS/PROFILES" SECTION.
  2. GO JOIN IT. NOW. :D
  3. SHARE IT EVERYWHERE. ALL SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS THAT YOU OPERATE, EVERYWHERE.

ALSO SOMETHING REALLY NICE I READ, THOUGHT OF SHARING IT HERE:

“Be brave. Even if you’re not, pretend to be. No one can tell the difference. Don’t allow the phone to interrupt important moments. It’s there for your convenience, not the callers. Don’t be afraid to go out on a limb. That’s where the fruit is. Don’t burn bridges. You’ll be surprised how many times you have to cross the same river. Don’t forget, a person’s greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated. Don’t major in minor things. Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Pasteur, Michael angelo, Mother Teresa, Helen Keller, Leonardo Da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein. Don’t spread yourself too thin. Learn to say no politely and quickly. Don’t use time or words carelessly. Neither can be retrieved. Don’t waste time grieving over past mistakes Learn from them and move on. Every person needs to have their moment in the sun, when they raise their arms in victory, knowing that on this day, at his hour, they were at their very best. Get your priorities straight. No one ever said on his death bed, ‘Gee, if I’d only spent more time at the office’. Give people a second chance, but not a third. Judge your success by the degree that you’re enjoying peace, health and love. Learn to listen. Opportunity sometimes knocks very softly. Leave everything a little better than you found it. Live your life as an exclamation, not an explanation. Loosen up. Relax. Except for rare life and death matters, nothing is as important as it first seems. Never cut what can be untied. Never overestimate your power to change others. Never underestimate your power to change yourself. Remember that overnight success usually takes about fifteen years. Remember that winners do what losers don’t want to do. Seek opportunity, not security. A boat in harbor is safe, but in time its bottom will rot out. Spend less time worrying who’s right, more time deciding what’s right. Stop blaming others. Take responsibility for every area of your life. Success is getting what you want. Happiness is liking what you get. The importance of winning is not what we get from it, but what we become because of it. When facing a difficult task, act as though it’s impossible to fail.”

LIFE STORIES #8: CLASS TIME. (TRUE STORY)

She sits next to me, humming some random words of some new song.
The teacher isn't teaching as there are just 6 of us in class. The teacher yawns a big, tired-teacher yawn, not having the courtesy with which to cover her mouth as she does so.

I stare, she stares back and after a while looks towards a notebook that she was checking. Stifles another yawn mid-tick, not even bothering to read what the kid has written.

My friend stops singing, now looking around and getting bored, trying to see whom to talk to.
She knows she shouldn't disturb me, that she CAN'T disturb me while writing, even if I'm just describing whatever is happening around me as an exercise to hone my skills.

The nerdy boy starts talking to the teacher, trying to impress her, but all she does is yawn one more time.

A drop of sweat falls down my back as the bell goes off, indicating the end of that period.

We get up, wish the teacher, and at a dreadfully slow speed file out of class, going towards our next respective subject rooms.

AT THE BAR.

THE MAN

I sat all alone
and smoked that cigar,
While you sat
on the seat at the bar.

Looked at you
again and again,
and saw you looking at me
again and again.

You were drinking a Mojito
that as clear as
the forest sky
on a full moon night.

And you're shining
just like your Mojito.
With smokey eyes,
as black as the ash of my cigar.

Now I sit with you
and smoke another cigar,
while you sit next to me
and drink another drink.

THE WOMAN

I sat all alone
at the bar,
while you sat adjacent,
smoking your cigar.

Looked at you
again and again,
and saw you looking at me
again and again.

You were having a cigar,
it's number I do not know of,
and I saw the ashes falling
on the third-piece of the three-piece suit you were wearing.

And you were staring,
staring at my smokey eyes,
thinking how they looked so similar
to the cigar ash.

Now I sit with you and drink
another drink,
while you sit next to me,
smoking another one of those cancer sticks.

What Is Going To Happen To Us?

So today evening I was walking, and a black cat walked across in front of me. Nothing unusual, so I continued walking, therefore crossing the path of a black cat. This is supposed to be a bad omen in loads of places. A superstition. I don't believe in these, at all. But a young boy, around the age of 5 or 6, yelled and ran towards me, stopped me and screamed, "You shouldn't have done that, that's bad!"

So I wanted to clear the air on this.

The actual origins of the black cat crossing your path superstition is a bit of a mystery, but there are a few ideas. Cat’s ability to move silently and practically undetected put some people on edge, and their association with Egyptian religion added to the uneasiness in some Christian cultures. From here it was said that cats- and black cats in particular- acted as “familiars” to witches, creatures that are imbibed with an evil, otherworldly sentience that give power to their master. (Content from : http://www.timelessmyths.co.uk/a-black-cat-crossing-your-path.html)

P.S: Guess what happens when I write a poem for my Mom..... I get to eat her amazing home-made brownie and vanilla ice-cream and a lovely comment which ends with calling me a potato! Moms are the best, so go do something nice for your Mom and tell me what happens by commenting down below :) (POEM FOR MY MOM)

For Her.

Thank you for not actually giving a shit about Mother's day, Mom. And for teaching me that everyday is Mother's day, and not just a Sunday in May when Archie's comes out with a full page advertisement showcasing all the big teddies and mugs I can get for you to express my love.
Truth be told, a mug can't contain it all.
And thank you for everything else too.

You're my support,
my anchor.
You're my mother.

You've been here through everything,
my pain,
my loss,
my happiness,
and will be here through everything,
my success,
my lessons.

You were once a little girl,
and have gone through a lot of what I have,
that's what you tell me,
to show me that you understand.

So I just want to take this opportunity,
to thank you,
for being there in the past,
for being here now
and in advance for the future.

Happy Mothers' Day!

Skinny Legs.

Rough blankets,
Dark nights,
Skinny legs,
sleep tight.

The bugs underground,
Come out and crawl around.

Such skinny legs,
Can't sleep at night.

Thunder outside,
Heart pouring inside,
Tears fall like the rain on the side.

Skinny legs cried to bed,
Just last night.

- Ragini Zutshi Anand

These are not skinny, but you get the point right?
