RANDOM ILLUSTRATION COPY PART 3

I like to call it "Inspiration".

I own this book of poems that I got when I was in 5th grade, called "The Fried Frog" by Sampurna Chattarji. The illustration in it are by Priya Kuriyan.
They are so much fun to just look at, that recently I made a 3-part composition of random drawings from it, put together in the most barbaric way.

This is the 3rd part. Hope you like it!

Shadows.

You think I don't see you,
But trust me,
I do.

So hide all you want,
I'll still catch you.

Sitting behind the bush,
staring,
and beneath the table,
praying.

No god will help you now,
specially if you continue staying.

Humans Of India (I Know It's Not Very Original...)

These are some wonderful people I met over 6 months back, at Dilli Haat. They graciously allowed me to take photographs of them. These are just a few of them. The very first lady was the sweetest, offering me a cup of tea, and when I declined, offering some lemonade.

Earth Day Special

Hey, where do you think you're going,
Walking with such sass.
You're doing something wrong here,
And not saving any-ones ass.

I'm going to have to ask you,
to pick up what you dropped.
Yes that packet of chips,
and the ice cream cover too.

You think you can get away with these small things,
But times are changing my friend.
And anyway, what will it take for you to go to a dustbin,

And dump your garbage in there?

Hey Friend! PART 2

I met her in grade 8,
And boy did I hate.

The way she spoke, the way she dealt,
The way she thought everyone would melt.

She stuck to me like she's a magnet,
And I, a scrap of metal.

Tried to avoid her as much as I could,
But to no despair.

Ninth grade came around,
Things become a bit different.

We spoke, and spoke,
And spoke a little more.

We got closer,
She became my best friend.

And I hope,
After just 2 years
This never ends.

No, It Doesn't

Even black and white has its hues,
its ups and its downs.

So no,
Not everything looks better in black and white.

It may look classy, but there is a catch,
A price to pay.

So no, the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Just the way our eyes perceive the colour can change everything.

LIFE STORIES #6: LIGHTS OFF, LIGHTS ON

"It's 3 am, can you switch off the damn light!" He said in a groggy manner.
"I'm reading, 5 more minutes! she replied.
"I have to go to office tomo-"
"Yes I know! 3 minutes won't make a difference!"
"When you work you'll know."

"But I'll have the best job in the world; it won't even feel like work!"
"Fine, whatever, can I sleep so I can do MY job which does feel like a job?"
"Urgh, fine." Switches the light off. "Sleeping now?"

"Yup", He said.

She sighed.

Change The World

"We go through a lot but people only see our smiles."
Our sadness they do deny.
folk may be there,
But justice they do deny.

Turn a blind eye to the unrest,
To the criminals gallivanting free.
But charge they do,
A very hefty fee.

When will our world change,
When will authority rise?
I'm sick and tired of these disturbing articles
Hitting the headlines.

"Girl abducted",
"Man shot"
"Road accident kills four"
"Terrorists made a fresh plot"

Those innocent children,
Killed in Peshawar,
What did they do,
To be victims of the war?

When will our world change,
When will authority rise?
I'm sick and tired of these disturbing articles
Hitting the headlines.

Maybe its different abroad,
Maybe they actually consider it to be a crime.
To objectify women,
And hurt them all the time.

Maybe the grass is greener on the other side.

When will our world change,
When will authority rise?
I'm sick and tired of these disturbing articles
Hitting the headlines.
